Transitional Fashion: Maxi Dresses + Denim Jackets

Hi friends! Hope you’re all having a great Tuesday. Today’s post is fun and lighthearted because we’re talking about that glorious transition from dreary winter to blooming spring. And what better way to celebrate the weather getting warmer than with pretty maxi dresses and denim jackets?

I don’t know about you, but up here in the PNW, the weather gets extremely finicky.. meaning we can literally go from 40 degrees and rainy to nearly 80 degrees overnight. That’s why I absolutely adore maxi dresses. They’re so versatile! You can literally wear them season to season, layer them up or down, and create numerous looks out of them. Plus, they’re super comfortable and I don’t have to worry about my toddler pulling up my skirt haha.

This beautiful maxi dress from PinkBlush immediately caught my eye when I saw it. The blue paneling and lace detail down the chest sold me, actually. Tell me it isn’t gorgeous! The material is so soft and buttery. This is the type of dress that would look pretty on any body type. I paired it with an old denim jacket but ended up taking it off mid-shoot because the weather warmed up. See how cute it looks either way? I just adore it! It’s the perfect transitional maxi dress.

Since I was going for a casual spring look, and because I’m a sucker for a good heel, I wore my favorite Sorel wedges with it. I think the detailing on the heels gave it a little extra edge. But what I was really excited for was to pair it with this absolutely stunning black tote I was gifted from Thacker. It’s 100% authentic Italian leather, fits my laptop perfectly, and I’m obsessed with her signature rings. So many ways to wear this beautiful tote! I’m actually doing two full feature looks on this amazing brand coming up in the next week, so stay tuned!

What’s your favorite spring look? Do you like wearing maxi dresses?

Xx

  2. Spring in Tennessee is pretty finnicky too. I’m so excited to start wearing dresses more often as it starts warming up. I’m really loving the midi dress style right now too!

  3. Hiiii!!! Unfortunately here is snowing so I still don’t have a chance for spring look!
