Happy Monday, friends! Today I’d like to share with you my experience with Ladder. Ladder is an incredibly convenient, on-the-go personal training app that matches you up with a coach based on your fitness style preferences. The best part? It’s mobile and ridiculously affordable (and cheaper than a gym membership)!
I’ll be honest: I’ve never enjoyed working out. If anything, it took every ounce of my strength to put on workout clothes and drive to the gym. And more often than not, I’d talked myself out of exercising by the time I arrived.
Anybody else relate?
Now that I’m a mom of two little ones, time is of the essence. With a husband that works very long hours, I barely have time to shower, let alone go to the gym.
So when I was presented with the opportunity to try Ladder, I thought, why not? Those last 16 pregnancy pounds aren’t going to budge on their own (although I wish they would).
All right, here’s the rundown on the actual app. Once you download Ladder, you’re prompted to select your membership plan, which can cost as low as $16/month. Fantastic, right?
Once you’ve set up your account, you’ll answer some questions about your fitness goals and style before you’re presented with a selection of coaches.
Personally, I chose a fellow mama coach since I also needed diastasic recti-friendly workouts.
Once you’re set up with your coach, you can customize your personal training needs even more. Choose which days you’ll workout, which days are rest days, and the app even syncs with your iPhone to tracks your daily steps.
Something unique I really like is the “Promise” prompt, which is basically where you promise to execute a certain task on certain days. Each evening you can update whether or not you kept that day’s promise.
Once that’s all set up, your coach sends daily customized workouts to you based on your selected workout days. And if you’re a visual person like me, you’ll also appreciate the handy videos that come with each work out!
Your coach will also send you nutrition and hydration tips to stay on track.
So here’s where I’m at with everything.
In the last two weeks since signing up with Ladder, I’ve lost two lbs with hardly any effort. And I attribute that primarily to simple fitness suggestions within the app along with support from my coach.
Two pounds may not seem like a lot to you, but to me, that puts me 14 pounds closer to my pre-second baby body.
And personally, I call that a win. Especially since we’re gearing up to enter the holidays, where we all tend to put on a little fluff, am I right?!
If getting to the gym is a struggle, or if you’ve been wanting to try personal training but can’t afford it, give Ladder a try. You won’t regret it!!
***Don’t believe me? You can take advantage of a FREE, no risk 7 day trial by using my code *NATFIT* here. And if you end up loving it like I know you will, they’ll even give you an additional 10% off after the trial.***
