Five Festive Holiday Styles

HAPPY FRIDAY, lovely friends! I hope this week has been kind to you. I’m finally getting ready to organize baby no. 2’s things and install his car seat this weekend, and the reality that he’ll be here within the next month is starting to sink in haha. I’ve got a lot more thoughts on motherhood to share with you, but those can wait until next week ย ๐Ÿ˜‰

In the meantime, I’ve teamed up with four gorgeous blogger babes to bring you FIVE festive holiday styles. This time of year is filled with lively parties, sparkles and colorful lights, so it’s the perfect opportunity to talk about holiday attire. Whether you prefer to go all glam or stick with a more casual look, there’s a holiday style for everyone! Read on for more about my look and why I chose it.

When I went through my first pregnancy exactly two years ago, I never imagined I’d be wearing a sequined mini dress less than a month away from my due date. But thanks to PinkBlush, I feel like I’m able to conquer the holidays in style this year, pregnant or not!

I’m going to get real for a minute with you, though. In all honesty, when I first came across this dress, I questioned whether I could pull it off. Let’s be real; pregnancy is beautiful, but it certainly isn’t the most glamorous of times. I definitely feel more self conscious about certain things- my legs being one of them. I’ve never liked them, and while I’m “lucky” that I haven’t dealt with stretch marks during pregnancy, I am currently dealing with varicose veins. So there’s that.

But I really wanted to wear this dress, guys. Because YOLO and stuff, but also because beauty isn’t found in having perfectly flawless bodies (which none of us have). To quote a certain Coco Chanel: “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.” So you know what? Screw those insecurities that hold us back from living life and enjoying it to the fullest. Wear the damn dress whether you have perfect thighs or not.

And when all else fails to motivate you, throw on some OTK boots like I did ๐Ÿ˜‰ Target for the win because these babies were under $50 and actually stay up! I’ve been looking for a heeled pair that’s both comfortable, affordable and stylish, and I’m definitely pleased with these. Just don’t forget to stay warm with a classic cardigan. This one is currently under $30! Head over and snatch one before they’re gone.

So there’s my holiday party look for you guys!

  1. I absolutely love this holiday look! The color of your dress looks really nice with your hair color. Also, the cardigan that you selected matches your boots so well. I would definitely wear this!
Thank you for linking up this week!

I loved everything in pregnancy, it was the ‘belly pooch’ leftover I had a harder time learning to love post-baby, haha! You are glowing, would never know you felt insecure, you don’t look it, and really don’t need to be! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! After a crazy week I’m hoping to do a little bit more for Christmas, getting those last few gifts and doing some more wrapping!

    1. Wow, thank you so much for such a lovely comment, Mica! I know exactly what you mean about the “belly pooch” and I am not looking forward to dealing with that part again. Postpartum bodies are definitely harder to love than pregnant bodies- I absolutely agree with that. I will keep your kind words in mind when that point comes ๐Ÿ˜‰
Enjoy your week, lovely, and good luck with that shopping and wrapping!

    1. Thanks for the sweet words, Rachel! I think every pregnant woman is beautiful whether she feels like it or not ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I’ve never been one who has been able to put things together very well, but out of all 5, yours is my favorite! Congrats on the upcoming arrival of your second bundle of joy!

  5. You look gorgeous, girl! I know exactly what you mean about not feeling glamourous right now, I’m due Feb 8th and to say I feel frumpy would be a huge understatement. Maybe I’ll throw on a glitter dress and try to rock these holiday parties

    1. Thank you, Katie! You really should- it makes a world of a difference even if you don’t feel like it (I rarely do, haha). And congrats on your upcoming baby!

  6. Yasssssss!! You look gorgeous girl!! There is nothing more beautiful than an expecting mama! I was pregnant with both my girls durning the summer fortunately so dresses were my number one go too for my growing belly! Lol

    1. Aw thanks so much, Kayvona! Both of my babies will be January babies… so I only have experience with winter pregnancies. It would be nice to rock dresses all summer though!

  7. You look so chic and stylish! I absolutely love the combination of nudes and black and with your perfect blond hair you are taking it to another level!

    1. You’re so sweet, thank you Sarah! I’m nervous about adjusting to life with two under two, but hoping the boys will be best friends.

  8. You look amazing! I love this look. I have to see if they have my size. I hope the dress looks as amazing on me as it does on you!

  9. What a gorgeous dress mama! It is so exciting that your little peanut will be here soon – you are just glowing in these last weeks of your pregnancy. I totally hear you that as a mom we can get wrapped up around how we look and feel about our bodies, but these photos right here are true beauty! You are rocking that whole outfit and that bump! I totally need to grab those boots too, they are perfect.

  10. This is such a beautiful attire. Looking very pretty in it. I think beauty is all about what you are as you said it and being more simple than being more with artificial decorating.

  11. Your baby bump looks gorgeous under that shiny rose gold fitted dress. You are so chic, Love that you guys did this series. =)

Welcome by Thursdays to link your fabulous style with me. I run a style linkup every Thursday. Thanks and Happy Hump Day!!
