You know what I really love? Companies with a mission behind the brand- especially those that help children. Ever since becoming a mom, I pretty much cry anytime I read/see/hear about a baby suffering. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always hated the thought of any innocent child in distress, but once I had my own I couldn’t even entertain the thought without shedding a tear.

I never really understood the power of convenience until I became a mom. Let’s be honest; until you’ve got a nursing newborn and/or messy toddler on your hands, you don’t bat an eye before purchasing that sheer white blouse.
We all have those outfits that make us feel good; those pieces we automatically gravitate towards even when we’re on day 7 of dry shampoo (moms, you know what I’m talking about) and that leave us with a sense of confidence in ourselves.

Oh, motherhood- where everything you swore you’d never do goes right out the window. I remember when I was pregnant with my first, I told everyone there was noooooo way I’d ever sleep in the same room as my kids. Nope, they were going straight into their cribs in their own rooms from day one!
A couple weeks ago, I turned the big three-oh. THIRTY. Oh my word, I’m not even sure how that happened. My twenties seemed like they were going to last forever, but I suppose all things eventually end, right?
Since I last checked in with you, my little family has grown by an extra two hands and two feet! While I’m not quite ready to share baby B’s birth story yet, I wanted to talk a little bit about our transition from one to two kids.
Happy Friday, my friends!! I know it’s been awhile since I posted here, but I promise I have good reasons for being MIA. Last week, we had a scary incident that landed me, baby, and my almost 2 year old in the hospital… then on top of that, I came down with a horrible viral flu of some sort. My husband had to take the week off work to basically play house/mom, but as grateful as I am to have such a supportive and helpful spouse, it’s not the easiest thing in the world for me to just sit back and let others take the reigns.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Can anyone else hardly believe the holiday season is upon us?! Seems like this year has completely flown by.
So how many of you guys plan on doing a little Black Friday shopping? I don’t know about you, but while I used to drag myself up at 3am to get going years back, I just don’t have the energy for that anymore. Probably has something to do with having a toddler and being pregnant 😉 but also, the holiday crowds have gotten really overwhelming for me. Thank God for online shopping!
Happy Monday, my lovely friends! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend. I spent most of last week taking care of a sick toddler, after which my super pregnant self ended up ill also. That was lots of fun- I’m fairly certain there isn’t much that’s more miserable than being a mom and being sick. #teamnodaysoff
Happy hump day, friends! I hope you’ve been enjoying this week. It’s starting to get really cold outside here in the PNW, and with that comes.. sick kids. Fun stuff, right? I adore the holiday season beyond words, but it’s the most stressful time of year in so many ways.
