Casual Mondays: Ruffled Bell Sleeve Sweatshirts

Happy Monday, loves! As you probably know, normally I post on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays, but this week is slightly different as I will only be posting on Monday/Friday.

Basically, you may notice things temporarily changing around here. That’s because at 36 weeks pregnant, I am feeling my mind and body tell me it’s time to slow things down and take care of myself before baby no. 2 arrives. I’ve been dealing with a lot of pain and exhaustion that I didn’t experience with my first, and although the recovering perfectionist in me often tries to win, staying up until 2am isn’t cutting it anymore.

Now would be a good time to let you all know that once baby arrives, as much as I’d rather keep things moving, I do plan on taking a solid month off from blogging. It’s super important that we establish breastfeeding and that I re-adjust to that mom-of-a-newborn sleep deprived life. Plus, this time I will have an almost 2 year old to take into consideration as well! More details to come.

So anyway, on to today’s post:

Like I mentioned, I’ve been in a lot of pain and discomfort for the last couple months, so stylish, casual clothes have become extra important. I’m not usually a fan of sweatshirts, but when I was gifted this black ruffle bell sleeve sweatshirt from PinkBlush, I immediately knew I’d love it!

And guys, it did not disappoint. Not only is it super soft, but it’s surprisingly warm. And of course, the ruffled bell sleeves put a pretty spin onto what would otherwise be just another sweatshirt. Paired with my favorite, comfortable wedge booties and maternity pants, I feel like I could totally wear this outfit to either date night or just to run errands.

As usual, I love knowing that I won’t have to purge my closet of maternity clothing postpartum, since everything at PinkBlush can be worn both during and after pregnancy. Total fashion win right there!

What do you think of this casual look?

  1. What a cute sweater! You always rock the bell and ruffle sleeves SO well. Listen to your body and enjoy these last moments of this pregnancy. Slowing down does not mean giving up! It means you are being the best mom you can be and doing what feels right. I LOVE your style inspo (I mean, I want your WHOLE shoe closet!) whether its every day, every week, or in a few months time!

    1. Thanks, Katrina! Momming definitely ain’t easy. And… I really do need a separate closet for all my shoes haha!

  2. Such a cute outfit! I’m not pregnant and would totally wear it. I think that aspect is amazing because there’s a stigma around maternity clothes that they are ugly or ‘look’ like maternity clothes. But this totally doesn’t and is super cute on you!

    1. Thank you, Kendall! And yes, I think there’s a stigma around it because it used to be totally true. Haha. Maternity fashion has come a long way and it’s AWESOME!

  3. I absolutely love this look! I just bought a dress with ruffled sleeves like on this shirt, and I am so happy about that purchase. I’ll have to look more into this shirt, because I may be making another purchase soon 🙂

  4. Wow girl! Just wow and the fact that the shirt has a hoodie just makes it in my opinion! Love it ❤️❤️❤️ You look gorge and I’m really into the all black look right now!!

  5. Listen to your body! Going from one to two was the hardest transition I’ve ever been through…it continues to be….but I couldn’t imagine my life any different!
    The sweater is adorable too!
