We all have those fashion brands, if not styles, that we gravitate towards. For some it’s thrifting, unique vintage items, or designer brands, whereas others tend to maintain a certain aesthetic. Maybe it’s a result of aging, but personally, I’ve become a bit obsessed with all things feminine and boho chic in recent years.
Still, isn’t it funny to look back on your personal style from years ago and go, “What the heck was I thinking?!” Haha. I’m sure we’ve all had those moments, and years from now I’ll probably look back on my current style preferences and think the same, but that’s the beauty of fashion. People are constantly changing, and our personal tastes evolve with us.
So, that being said, I’ve bought entirely too many Free People things this year (if such a thing exists). Part of the reason being because I can wear 90% of their designs throughout pregnancy. This is a major SCORE for me, as I’m not a fan of building an entirely separate maternity wardrobe. The other reason being because I’ve gotten super into their whimsical, romantic, semi-tomboyish-with-a-little-risque designs. They’re the perfect balance of edgy yet feminine.
Well, this gorgeous flowy, wine colored top is no exception. When I saw it, I knew I had to have it. Can you see how flattering the fit is, even with a 28 weeks pregnant baby bump? I love that I don’t have to change my sizing, either. Totally worth the money! Paired with these amazingly cute and comfortable Sorel wedges, I’d say this outfit is a total win.
*STYLE TIP: Oversized or flowy tops are best paired with slim fitting bottoms and heels. This creates a balanced, chic look rather than frumpy.
